Turtles Hatch

Today we’re introducing Turtles Hatch, a platform for helping brands develop their next iconic products with marketplace data. Hatch helps brands identify verified demand, turn that demand into world-class products, and accelerate their launches across relevant marketplaces powered by Turtles.

Product expansion is one of the hardest decisions a brand makes. New categories take capital, inventory, design time, sourcing, and focus. Many brands have strong ideas, but struggle to commit to a large design and production run without clearer proof that customers will buy. Hatch is built to reduce that risk.

Turtles is in a different position because we see demand across the marketplaces we power: what shoppers search for, save, buy, bid on, and return to. Hatch turns those signals into product decisions, then helps with the work required to bring the product to life, from assortment and positioning to sourcing, launch format, and distribution.

We can also help brands manage downside. Verified demand signals make launches less speculative, and Turtles gives brands distribution and liquidation options across the marketplace network if inventory needs to move quickly.

Hatch has already helped launch partners like Longvadon, a leading accessories brand known for bringing traditional leather craft to Apple Watch bands, expand from a strong core product into new opportunities with more confidence.

"Turtles was game-changing for us. It's rare to find a partner that can innovate while protecting your brand's DNA. Turtles Hatch did both, expanding us into fresh categories while maintaining our bar for excellence."
Robin Westerling, founder of Longvadon

How Hatch works

Hatch is built around a simple idea: better product development starts with better demand data. The platform combines Turtles marketplace insights with hands-on support across three parts of the product process.

  • Find the opportunity. Hatch identifies categories, price points, styles, formats, and seasonal moments where Turtles shoppers are already showing demand.
  • Shape the product. Hatch helps brands translate that demand into a product plan, including assortment, positioning, packaging, launch format, sourcing, and creative direction.
  • Launch through Turtles. When the product is ready, Turtles can help distribute it across relevant marketplaces powered by Turtles, with optimized listings and performance feedback from the network.

Who Hatch is for

Hatch is for great brands looking for their next iconic product hit. Some already know the direction they want to take, but need stronger conviction before committing to design, sourcing, and production. Others know their customers love the brand, but want help finding the product extension most likely to work.

The common thread is ambition and taste. Hatch is built for brands that care about making something excellent, not simply adding more SKUs. The goal is to help those brands move from promising idea to launched product with more evidence, better support, and faster access to the right buyers.

What comes next

We are opening Hatch to a small group of partner brands first. The early work will focus on product extensions, gifting formats, new category tests, and launches where Turtles can help with both insight and distribution.
